Rafting on the Bystraya River
The river flows among picturesque hills overgrown with dwarf pines and mountain alders. Meadowsweet thickets that sometimes grow as tall as three metres, as well as Erman’s birch forests are a frequent sight on the banks of the river. While rafting, you can spot brown bears catchштп fish on the banks of the river and Steller's sea eagles in the sky. The fish species include grayling, rainbow trout, whitespotted char, and countless Arctic char. In August and September, you can easily catch coho salmon that comes to spawn here. The Bystraya is also a spawning site for some other species, such as pink salmon, chum salmon, chinook salmon, sockeye salmon, and masu salmon. You will have the opportunity to go fishing and try freshly cooked fish soup for lunch.
